So far...

I'm not a computer genious, but this was too good to not at least try to share it with you. It's the cover art for Alvor. They were still tweaking the back of it, so I'm leaving that off for now. You'll have to bask in the glow of the front for now. ;)

It's funny, but now that I know what the cover is going to look like, I wonder what everyone else will think when they see it. What do you think? Does it look mystical? Magical? Like your last campout? My four year old daughter thought it was a camping book. My four year old son thought it was a pirate book. My eight year old son said it was "cool" and my twelve year old son didn't say much. It was kind of like, "yeah. Why did you turn off my music?"

Life in the fast lane. I wish. Anyway, back to the real world for a while...

Oooh. I like it! Mystical, mysterious, magical, intriguing... I don't feel the camping vibe, but then, I don't ever feel the camping vibe. :)

How can I get a copy? Can I pre-order or something? I'm so excited for you!

Hi Laura--
I followed a link on Melissa's blog to yours and love reading about your family and your busy life! Congratualations on the book! It looks very inviting! I can't wait to read it! Who is the publisher? Where will it be sold? Wow-- I can't believe I know a REAL Author! I can't begin to imagine how you do it all! You are incredible!

Cedar Fort Inc. is the publisher. Sweetwater Books is the imprint that is hosting it. Sweetwater Books is geared towards a national market rather than solely an LDS audience. It should be available on Amazon.com, Barnes and Nobles, Borders, Waldenbooks, Deseret Books, Seagull Books and other independant book sellers as well as Walmart. I know it will be in Utah area in May, but I don't know how long it will take to hit the other states.

Thanks for your comments! I was personally really stoked to see the cover.

Wow. Nate says, "I think it looks cool." I really like it. After reading the first chapter on your blog, my mind is making up all sorts of stuff to put them together. It really makes me want to read it. Come on May! At least I live in Utah and I won't have to drive to a different state to get it. :) Congrats!

I like it alot. It is different than anything I have seen. I think the best thing about it is that it leaves room for the reader's imagination--sometimes images (or movies) ruin what you see in your head as you read.
